Yes, we are back for now. UseBB received some new anti-abuse features among the usual changes that were made in CVS since the release of 0.8. So, we're on 1.0-CVS now, which means the freshest code there is available at this moment. The attacking matter is not yet resolved, I am working on sending in a complaint to the police this week. If you don't know what I'm talking about, a full explanation will follow later. In the mean time, welcome back. If you encounter any problems with this CVS version, please post them in bug reports. Some changes that also happened to the forums: - contact information in profiles is now hidden for guests - never activated members are hidden - a username is now limited to 30 characters - the testing forum is no longer open to guests « Last edit by Dietrich on Tue Mar 28, 2006 9:20 pm. »

A quick note, the person that attacked us is still around and even registered an account (which is hidden because it has never been activated). Last week I have found the real Romanian name of this person on a forum, so this will be used in filing the complaint (probably Friday). I will also try to get information from Hotscripts about the negative ratings.
I have been in contact with the FCCU (Federal Computer Crime Unit) and RCCU (Regional ...) and they directed me first to the local authorities. It depends on what the investigation says whether the FCCU will cooperate in finding this person.
To be continued...

Update: yesterday, I have been to the local police. A complaint was filed, and we will see how it progresses.
