Admin url's keep flipping to https - which my server is not configured for. I looked through all the given admin and config options and cannot find anything that allows you to disable https...

How do I keep it http?

Your board's URL is probably badly auto-detected. Try setting it manually in config.php

$conf['board_url'] = 'http://example.com/forum/';
