Version 0.8a:

Please, is there any way to switch off the 'subscribe to this topic' for everyone? I am sure there was this function if 0.7 but I have not administered UseBB for quite some time (just host and upgrade).

http://radiochickforum.nzcool.com is a very busy forum for teenagers and the mail is already starting to flow uneccessarily.

Thanks in advance - note I could not find this question after searching this forum. If you know of a topic covering this, please post link.

This cannot be enabled by default. There is only a per user setting to automatically subscribe to topics.

Thanks Dietrich, hopefully version 1.0 will include the option to enable/disable 'Subscribe to Topic' to avoid unecessary email traffic.

Thanks for your response.

As I said, this cannot be enabled. Nobody is getting subscribed unless he or she chooses to.

I realise that each user chooses to receive emails by simply going into 'Your Panel' and placing a tick in the appropriate place.

My request was to REMOVE this option completely so noone could ever receive an email about new posts if the Admin of the site wanted it this way.

Maybe my topic title was not clear? I want to make this facility an Admin choice, not a user choice.
