Do you run the latest version 1.0 RC1?

You can reuse your old language files, although new sentences added in new versions will not appear translated.

What is the problem exactly? Do you run 1.0 RC1 now and updated ALL the files? There has been a bug in an old version where "new forum" doesn't show anything, but this should be fixes. Could you eventually post a screenshot?

If you edited source code, you will have to apply these changes again. If you changed nothing but the configuration of the forum, there is nothing that can go wrong. No database changes are being made since 0.6.
