I don't knoe how far you'll go with your OO improvements, but I hope you could make clear and clean OO API, so UseBB integration with various sites and CMSes won't be pain in ass anymore.

When I started planning 2.0 in 2005, I had the idea to create a central "API" to perform database tasks. Only recently I found out this is in fact the Model part of a typical Model-View-Controller system.

But it's indeed an important item, because I want to create a new website that integrates with 2.0, and also attack DokuWiki to it.

I'll perhaps often release a small demo of how I do it in v2 as soon as I started working on it, so people can comment and criticize the system before a final 2.0 comes out.

nice to hear the way this forum script goes. releasing some demo stuff would be good thing to consider. it's always good if some people looks into code before final release.
