My Invision site was hacked today, so I decided to look for something better. Is it possible to import my Invision database into UseBB?
Please say yes
Thanks
Jim

I can't answer your question, but I can tell you that UseBB is more stable and reliable than Invision PB - you were probably using a very old FREE version hosted on some Web Hosting Service.
Personally have tried to convert someone from Invision to either this or even phpBB but the site owner just loved the flashy Invision. Her site actually brought down a Host's servers with the sheer volume of traffic and the instability of Invision 1.2 I think it was. This person is using my hosting for the website, invisionfree for the forum and photobucket for the photos. UseBB WORKS!! It's clean and simple and does what it's asked. Bite the bullet and start afresh. |

Thanks for the advice.
Actually it was a paid copy -- version 2.1.5 or something like that and it wasn't hosted on one of those services. I'm just not impressed that it was hacked. I imported everything into SMF, so now I'll try UseBB and import the SMF stuff. |

I wouldn't use the SMF convertor. It's old, uses a lot of memory and might not work anymore at all.
You could try to import to phpBB first and then to UseBB. _______________ |
