Sorry for all the questions but how would I add a 'most users on at one time' message in the stats box? It would have to include the total amount of users and the date?

You could add two rows to the stats table. For each pageview, you chech the amount from the stats table and eventually update it, including the row holding the timestamp.

No it wouldn't. UseBB is light, we are not seeking to put it full of features like this. Mostly, nobody cares what the record number of online users was. If you want a forum that supports this, there are many other packages that do.
It could be made a plugin for 2.0 but this is far away. _______________ |

Reply to prc:
Dietrich is being very diplomatic but I still don't think that prc understands that UseBB was created to be a good, fast, clean, no-frills forum that just works and does what it is designed to do. As stated, there are plenty of forums that do have all the bells and whistles and also contain coding errors that create vulnerabilities and security compromises. I know of one case were Invision Power Board killed a complete SERVER. Ok, it was an older version and the user was bogging it down with graphics 1.5gigs of graphics between Invision and Coppermine. The majority of us are happy with using a forum that works and is efficient and fast. Keep up the good work Dietrich. Each individual is free to add their own bells and whistles to the code, but you will have to correct your own coding errors. |

Fair enough. And this does have coding issues. In the 'panel_profile.php' it adds what ever the user puts in for their contact info, straight into the database. Doesnt check it, nothing

Maybe you should read the forum rules once. You have posted your complains all over the place now. If you have anything to complain about 1.0, there is only one location. But not here.
About feature requests: feature requests are only accepted for 2.0 and in a complete different forum. Topic locked. _______________ « Last edit by Dietrich on Fri Jun 23, 2006 9:49 am. » |
