Since the final release of UseBB 1.0, the development of the 1.x code base has officially ended. Although there has been an idea to further develop 1.x by other developers under the UseBB Project hood, I have stepped away from it due to a lack of interest and time. Of course, as we have stated numerous times, bug fix releases are still being made and UseBB 1.0 remains fully supported.

In the mean time, UseBB 2.0 core development has also started and is slowly making progress. I expect 2.0.0 to be available at earliest in 2007, although this is a very rough guess and it could easily be 2008, depending on the time I am able to dedicate on development. Just a note: no code is available in CVS nor SVN, nor are we accepting new developers at this time. This will however be possible after the 2.0.0 release.

If you are somehow interested in UseBB, we advice you to develop mods, skins, ACP modules, etc for 1.0. Not to forget translations, too. Useful information is available on the forums and there is always someone to help when necessary. Also, we are always accepting new ideas and requests for UseBB 2.0.

Does this mean that if I make a transl for 1.0, it does not have to be edited again (in a major fashion, at least)?

Normally not.

How many developers are there currently (except you ).

As you can see on the staff list, I'm currently the only one.
