Hi,

I was wondering if it were possible to have more than 1 line of text for Board Name and Board Description. If so, how would I go about it?

Thanks,

These fields don't allow newlines, especially not board_name which is also used in e-mail messages, HTML title, etc.

Thanks Dietrich,

First, let me thank you for this excellent BB software. I'm thinking of having several community related Forums and even though I am a "fan" of phpBB, I find that useBB has all the features I'm looking for without the "bloat". I also find that useBB is quite fast, secure and very user friendly. Kudos to you!

I guess the only way to have a multi line board name and description would be to replace the logo, name and desription with a full width graphic because some will have a long title and description in both English and French.

Cheers,
Gene

If you just want to change the title shown in the header you can do so by editing the template in global.tpl.php.

Good idea, won't affect the name in the DB?

No, the template has nothing to do with the database.

Also, the name of your forum isn't saved in a database, but a config file.

Thanks for the replies. Hope we get more people to use this great BB software. Should maybe write a Joomla bridge for it, popularity would soar.

Just a thought,

As Drupal will power the new website, a Drupal bridge will be built for 2.0.

Wonderful! I still think that a Joomla bridge would be a great asset for the popularity of your great BB, it's the most popular CMS there is with 1729 extensions and plugins for it at this moment. It's like the phpBB (sorry) of CMS.

Cheers,
Gene
