I'm Ryan from Hawaii (USA). I enjoy web design and constantly learning new techniques that I can use in the future. Like akurashy, I don't care for programming languages, but I do know some PHP.

Hi, Dave from NZ here.

Am liking what I see so far and wonder how difficult/easy it is for a completely non-technical UseBB forum owner to add Categories to version 0.6a? I have been looking thru the FAQ and this Forum but its not entirely clear if the Admin Panel has been completed or not? How close is Version 1.0?

The question is, is this version suitable for me to install on the server and leave the rest to a non-techie? Is 0.6a at that stage yet?

Great minimulist Forum.

Well if you want a simple forum 0.6a is sure good enough, because it contains a part of the ACP where you can manage categories and forums and set the forum configuration.

The FAQ is quite outofdate, we're working on new documentation. :)

Hi folks! I'm Geert. Living in Belgium and I'm almost 21.

I enjoy webdesign for 3 years now, as well the coding (php, mysql, html) as the design part (photoshop, css). I guess I'm quite good at it, yet the more I learn the more I realize how less I know. There is always more to learn. When I code I "lose" most of the time structuring en reorganizing stuff. For me that's the hardest part about php: keeping it all well-organized.

I'd say welcome. En welkom maar dat is waarschijnlijk meer geschikt in het Nederlandstalige forum ;)

Hello! I'm Roland Häder, living in Uetersen (i bet you don't know this little town? ;) ) that's near Hamburg in northern Germany. I'm currently on retraining to "Application Developer", that's in simpler words a coder and project leader. And I'm 27 years old for only 10 days... ;)

I have looked on sf.net for a simple-to-use (simple for the end-users not coders...) forum and the best matching one to my needs is this.

Never new this topic existed.

Well, my name is Melissa, I'm 18 and live in Canada, PEI.

I know some basics of CSS, XHTML, PHP, MySQL, and little bits of Javascript.

I go to college (well i try :P) and i'm taking Computer Information Systems. Plan on going into the programming section.

Umm, i haven't really developed anything as advanced PHP confuses me :P.

I can code a basic website and that's about all, though my skills in graphic design are lacking alot.

And that's about all ^_^

Hello all.

I stumbled upon this software recently.

I'm 19, and I love to hunt around for different forum software. I love to see the differences that come with each.

Anyways, I look forward to participating in this community, and all I'm basically saying here is, hi. :)

Jumping on board the "Oh man, there's an introduce yourself topic?" bandwagon....

My name's Michael. I'm a computing science student from Edmonton currently on co-op. I have heavy background in C/C++, Java, and Perl. The past month at work and hacking on UseBB has quickly scaled up my PHP/shell scripting know-how.

Anyways, I found UseBB while looking for a PHP forum that I could extend, but that wouldn't be as crufted up with code as PHPBB2. I'm looking forward to being a devils advocate and trying to get my code reintegrated into the tree so I don't have to maintain a fork :P

Hello,

My name is Mark Rovendro and I am from Westford Massachussetts, USA. I am
the webmaster for SpindleCityCorvettes.com and NewEnglandCorvetteCouncil.org, two groups supporting the Corvette community
in my area.

I have been programming and scripting for close to 20 years now on both unix and window platforms.

I recently came across UseBB on sourceforge.net while looking for a light-weight and easy to manage BB solution for our Corvette Community.

I have to say thanks to the UseBB team for a great system. Hopefully I will
be able to give back in some way once we really start using this great software.

Thanks,
-Mark

Hi, my name is Peter and I live in the Netherlands in a city called Roosendaal.
I'm 45 years young

I've tested several forums but I like this one the most so far.

Because I have no skills in programming I will maybe contribute in making free templates for UseBB.

My name is Jim, from Connecticut, USA, and I'm 23 years old. I've been searching for a new forum software for my website, and just set UseBB up on my sister's site. After looking at it for a bit, I'm definitely using it on mine.

I'm currently studying graphic design at school. I learned web design on my own before that. I'm very into music, playing flute, fife, piccolo, piano, and a bunch of other instruments, and do a lot of composing (published my own music book).

And that's about it, I think. I look forward to using UseBB, and posting around the forums.
