UseBB Community

Hi.

I like UseBB 'ALOT'. By that i mean, the simple, feature free, forum i was looking, is UseBB. Actually, i wish it had less features (ex. profile...).

But, what i really needed was an Ad space in the header, somewhere. Maybe just after the "usebb" image, or even after the links 'menu'. Anyway... an ad space!!

I could do it myself, but i'm sure i'd screw it over, and have bugs... -.-

Well you can place an ad basically anywhere you want. What I suggest is putting the ad where you want it. See how it looks, then just make small alterations to the HTML/CSS code around it ( perhaps place it in a <span> or <div> or even <p> tag to style ) until it looks like you want it. It is kind of hard to try and "make up" an ad space when there are other things involved such as location, ad size, etc.

... i have to admit... it sucks.. my condition, Every single time i try to 'ask' or whatever for something, i 'speak' too soon. Every... single... time...

I just discovered how to do it, exactaly as i wanted. Damn stupid... me.

Anyway, if anyone is wondering, here is "how-to":

Find the file "global.tpl.php" on the folder "UseBB\templates\default".

Now, on LINE 120, just after "</p>" is your place to put your AD html code (inside a Table is the best).

Lol. Glad you figured it out. I would rather push someone in the right direction, then just tell them what to do. No one learns anything that way :p.
