Dietrich, wonder if you could use an image verification, although, what you have is good, I think the image verification would be even better touch.

Possibly a 3rd option for the anti-spam, I would try it myself and test it, but have no clue where to add it, I still use UseBB, well sorta, just sitting there doing nothing for now, been trying to figure out what to use it for.

Of course had to start over again, make that I believe 4 times.

Image verification is called CAPTCHA, although the one you have there is way too weak. The letters can very easily be found using OCR, and certainly since you are using a fixed size font. A CAPTCHA should not be readable using OCR.

The system we have in UseBB 1 is sufficient. I am using the simple math question for now, and no bot has posted anything in the testing forum so far. The custom questions should be fine for >99% of the bots.

Like I said it was just a thought.

Sure someone that knows a lot about PHP could alter it to show angled letters and noise.

Eventually updating it, just as soon as I can comprehend PHP better, and by the way, so far it has worked, rather have that then nothing at all.

And I knew whats been added already was quite sufficient.
