ok, im pretty new to creating web sites so i really dont know what im doin.
my question is
when i go to upload the forum folders into the "php_uploads" folder, do i just put in the "usebb" folder, or open it and then just copy the contents of the folder onto my site?
Then after i do that, what are the next steps? the instructions given to upload the forums arent that detailed for an extreme begginer.
Thanks for your help in advance,
Josh

You upload the files where you want to have your forum. Mostly, there's a public_html, httpdocs or alike directory on the FTP root folder which equals to the root of your website ( http://www.example.com/). If you want to have the forum in /forum, you might want to upload the whole UseBB folder in the root and rename the folder to "forum". If you want to have the forum in the root of the website, you should only upload the contents directly. Further installation instructions in docs/index.html.

Are you visiting the installation script through HTTP? Thus, you need to go via e.g. http://example.com/forum/install/. Are you also sure your host has PHP support?

The link he gave you was just an example, it's not actually a working link. Most people know that scripts must be installed via their browser. Either way, this is why there is a support forum for those who have problems installing the software .
