I have the forum hosted on a test server and when I tried to send a mass email to some dummy accounts it said "The mass email message has been sent to 0 members using 0 message(s)."
Any suggestions?

By default, messages are only sent to email addresses set as "public". This does not include your own.

there are problems when you sent to more than fifty members at once, try to reduce the number and may be sent in sets of about 30, servers think that they are spam so tryies to block
