Therefor I'd like to stimulate people to promote UseBB to gain more popularity for the project. This can be done in various ways:
Place a UseBB button on your website/blog/whatever
The 88x31px PNG button can be found here: http://www.usebb.net/gfx/88x31-button.png. Please copy it over to your webspace and let it link to www.usebb.net on a well viewable place. Of course, if you have any graphical talent, you can create your own buttons or banners (and send them to me so I can add them to a seperate page). A textual link is also appreciated.
Submit UseBB to webmaster script directories
Submit UseBB to open directories such as Hotscripts.com, ResourceIndex, Scripts.com, etc (UseBB is already listed on those three, but there are many directories where UseBB is missing). Please spell UseBB in the correct way (with capital U, not useBB like some tend to do
) and use if possible the following description:UseBB is an easy-to-set up and easy-to-use Open Source PHP/MySQL bulletin board system with several user and administration possibilities, especially designed for small to medium sized web sites which do not need the overdose of features found in other forum packages.
Suggest UseBB on forums, usegroups, etc
Recommend UseBB to people looking for a straight-forward forum solution without all the bloat found in many other packages. Don't forget to mention it's free!
Of course... if you have any other ideas to gain more popularity, please let the community know.
