ACP Save button action - problem

Hi,

I'm on Mac OSX 10.6.3 and Opera 10.10.

I changed some General Configuration variables on the ACP recently. At some point -- I can't exactly recall what I did -- the Save button didn't save the changes anymore and didn't return to the main page, but it opened Opera's download dialog window (Cancel/OK/Open with/Save) referring to config.php.

So now I always have to download config.php, edit it and re-upload it via ftp.

Is this disabled Save button an option within UseBB or maybe a feature on my OS?

Perhaps it's even a feature of Aquamacs which is Mac's default php editor. I haven't completely checked Aquamacs' preferences yet as it's a bloated, unreadable nightmare and looks like a bag of Haribo.

On the other hand, it can't be a global setting on my OS or Aquamacs because I have two UseBB forums and the ACP Save button works on one of the two. I have also checked the differences of the two config.php files but found nothing special.

Anyway, before I start searching on my OS, I would like to know if it's a UseBB feature.

Thank you,

W.

P.S.: Same happens with Firefox.

config.php is offered as a download whenever it is not writable by PHP. To make it writable, use your FTP client and change the file's permissions. First try setting it writable by "group", afterwards when not sufficient also for "others".

Aha!

Brilliant :-)

Yep, now it works. A full 777 was required.

Thank you!
