I found this forum at hotscripts.com. It's about the 5th or 6th forums I've looked at for my site. All the others couldn't do what I needed but UseBB fits my needs just right.

I found it throught sf.net (as dave did) and I have been amazed, as I've stated repeatedly in my posts, by the clarity and the beaty of the code... It needs work that must be done though cause this package needs to go beyond the sky's limit..

Another forum software Web site listed it as competition. Quite nice of them, I think. :)

I was looking for a light board for personnal use.

I already knew PhpBB, XMB, IPB and VBulletin.

I went to Sourceforge.net, and looked for the word "board" on PHP programmed projects. UseBB and YaBB SE came out. I'll stick to UseBB. ;)

Might be the best choice cause YaBB SE isn't developed anymore. ;)

Hotscripts.com - Yesterday, and so far this is my favorite out of about 10 other 'good' BBs.

Funny. I'm new here (first post, yay!), so it seems like a good topic to reply to. I found out about UseBB through The Wolf's blog :)

Well, I work as a webdesigner and i use http://neocrome.net for almost every site i do, it's a portal system wich is maybe the greatest of them all out there but then some clients don't want an powerful web commmunity and just a good looking forum with features a forum needs.

First i went to phpBB and checked it out a bit well it was good but i didn't like it and same with the other 20 boards i tried. The only two forums that went to my expectations was UseBB and Mercuryboard, they were fast easy and very easy skinnable. But the reason i choosed UseBB was first the very attractive layout and the built in features.

I must really say to you Dietrich that this is maybe the greatest forum i know just because of the skinning. I can create any template out there to useBB and forum integration have never been easier! Though it has some lack of feature more is coming and i think as long as it is this skinnable im going to use as features also comes by time :)
