It would be nice to have option to ignore certain users. Then whenever someone on your ignore list makes a post, you don't have to be bothered with it taking up space on your screen. « Last edit by Dietrich on Wed Mar 23, 2005 8:45 pm. »

I dont think that the discussions will be coherent, make any meaning, the ignored person >may< at some point say something usefull. ( i have desired this to be a feature when I came across an unwanted fella too... but later on I saw that it is good to listen to everyone... ) Maybe when a pm system arrives then it could be applied to that..

vBulletin has such a feature but I doubt if it will be useful in a small forum like UseBB. Edit: put as declined for the moment. Feel free to reply with ideas or arguments. « Last edit by Dietrich on Wed Mar 23, 2005 8:45 pm. »

Well looking at snitz forum for windows servers with asp pages I noticed the ignore feature. The way it worked was if a user on your ignore list posted something, you would see that they made a post and in the body of the post where the message would normally be, there are links to either read the post or un-ignore the user.

I think they have copied that over from vB as that's just the way it works on vBulletin. But it doubt if it is really useful. There's no reason to hide a certain member's posts unless the posts are of no use (but then they should be deleted by a mod).

I agree it can be useless in some instances but who is to say how big or small UseBB may become. This featue is something I find unique on vB. I have never really needed it but find that it's also great on IPB which I do use because sometimes I don't want to read a certain user's views, attitude or content for censoring reasons.
it is a quality feature and well worth considering for 2.0 atleast.

I think collapseable posts would make more sense. _______________ Long Live Rock n' Roll!
