An example of this would be from k4bb.org, many others have collapsing category tables as well. Its a nifty feature to minimize content.

a major feature i havent seen in a long time ( once build it in a phpBB forum )
only forums your interested will show on the index- which can be changed in the UCP of course. this is usefull for big forums as well  _______________ If I where the rain, that binds the Heaven and Earth together who in all eternity will never mingle, will I be able to bind two souls together? |

If collapsible categories are not planned I would love them them to be a feature. As an example, I would like to collapse the non-English forums on here but can't.
