Yes, it has been requested more than once, maybe some time ago when we still used the SF.net trackers.
1.0 will not have any PM functionality, but 2.0 probably will. _______________ |

Who needs PM's anyway, this is like a basic forum, if you need PM's, why not just download mybb or SMF?

If you ever implement it, every user should enable/dsable it individually for its account, cause they personally annoy me so much.

I think it's a good idea for the future, especially if a forum using this script has a For Sale/For Trade section.

I think PMs are really useful, especially for mods. So I suggest adding this feature in 1.0
There should be the options - enable for all users - enable for moderators->users/mods - diabled
I agree, but mods should have the right to send always a PM. Another feature linked to PMs: Auto-send a pm if a topic was moved or deleted. That would be really helpful. i think popup is a good way to notify users of pm's though this should be possible to turn off individually. And i believe even if it's a light version UseBB i do believe it would fit in. And i agree with thomas

Same as with banning, PM's are not meant for light forums.
As said this might come in 2.0 but 1.0 initially had the plan not to provide PM functionality. _______________ |

Is there any more news on this? I have UseBB on my shortlist for a new forum about to be launched, but lack of PMs is a big downside to me.
