Ajax is incredibly valuable. If you can get this forum to be ajax prepped, it will rise above all others. An example of a board now using this technology is IPB, please, I hope you see this video gallery: http://invisionboard.com/?ipb2newAjax is awesome, I hope usebb can have features like it sometime soon. At least in-line editing, and other stuff like that. Google suggest uses ajax so you get an idea, and so does vb 3.5 now it seems, hasnt come out yet though: http://files.vbulletin.com/3.5/ajax.html_______________ UseBB Spanish Support Moderator « Last edit by dave on Sun May 22, 2005 5:47 am. »

This is a good idea but it will not make it into 1.0, as no new features are added. This might be considered for 2.0.

We will not make an interim v1.5 by any chance? We will make a major release from v1.0->2.0? Read this article to find out more: http://www.adaptivepath.com/publications/essays/archives/000385.php_______________ UseBB Spanish Support Moderator

Yes, thats true. But just looking at the possibilities of making changes in the forums without ever having to load a page, instantaneous changes to topic titles, sub topic titles, etc. That is huge, the stress on the server for big forums would be minized greatly. _______________ UseBB Spanish Support Moderator

AJAX is a great technology, but you should use it as a complement rather than a replacement. Remember, this is UseBB and you will have to make sure the same functionality exists without Javascript (and, thus AJAX) enabled.
