this is a great board. is there any possibility of getting polls, private messages, and a portal page for it?

Polls, PM's and a portal page are not planned for UseBB 1.x.

However you can make them yourself or wait till anybody released a mod for it. (I thought Kidkiller planned to make a portal mod?)

A PM system would be a nice mod to have for UseBB. I'd be willing to write it. But before we do much core hacking, I'd like a stable version to work with. Who knows what changes will be made prior to that.

I can't say that yet. There's a possibility I will change the method of using localized content in UseBB instead of the $lang array. Also templates will probably change a bit.

Honestly, polls and whatnot would be nice, but I'd be content with having a forum that was secure. Keep up the good work. I can't wait until 1.0. :)

Those two things (the i18n and the templating) are that make UseBB "a happy place to code"... if you touch them.. dont hurt them much pls ;)

If somebody could make a glue between useBB and e107 they would probably rock together, because e107's forum system really sucks bigtime, and this forum would complete e107. Maybe this is only a phantasmagory, but who knows?

I dont wanna critisize e107 here .. it has a different orientation than UseBB. Although it is a nice dont-follow example of loosly binded development. too many ppl writing too much stuff, and few to organise them. It is a pretty complete system though that can easily take teh burden of a portal.

Yes, the upload completely suxx. Altho the 0.7 CVS snapshits are really nice, I tested one of them, and will continue testing later on.

This topic is over 1.5 years old. Please post requests in the requests topic.

To answer your question: we don't develop bridges or mods ourselves. UseBB 1 is also a bug fix branch only, we are focusing on UseBB 2.
