UseBB Community

I've watched UseBB a while never used for one of my sites but i will. Though ther's one thing i'd like to create for usebb if other people on this site are interested in this, i'd like to create a resource page with language files, skins mods and so on for useBB as i think it's needed. I can host it and be the operator of it but I cannot be the only one who skins it. Please post in this thread if you're interested and maybe an admin can make this topic sticky/pinned?

Nice idea. Some other people also had the idea to make a site like this but it turned out to nothing (as I see it).

well thank you, the biggest reason i have to this kind of project is that useBB is still quite small and doesen't have loads of functions as ACP and so on so i think it should be developed

I'd just create the site first and make it possible for people to submit there stuff. The modders and skinners should join after a while.

Well ok but i thought i was the one creating the site...

I think he means to first create the site (you probably) and then to start creating any mods or templates (if you would make a few yourself).

aha i get it .. I'm already on creating the site and have a submit download idea but now i will be gone for some days (back on saturday) but when i get back i'll hopefully finish a beta version of it.

I have to admit, it is a good idea. After all I'm part of it also.

Also, I'm learning PHP to make the topic stuff abit more advance. I admit it is really good for someone who ain't so advanced with PHP compared to IPB, i would think you would do better with more developers doing certain area of the board to make it more stable and more advance. Yeah, the resource be up an running soon or later. Just don't like the fect you have to edit things through phpMyAmdin.

By 1.0 phpMyAdmin will be totally unneeded to run UseBB.

i have started my own useBB resource site over at usebb.com check out the forums at usebb.com/forums we are not fully open yet but feel free to join up!

We are currenntly working on the download database which should be ready within the week, we have also coded a portal which can be viewed at the site.

but about usebb.com i think you should go more advance with the design cause that was my idea to totally split it from the main look to see the possibilities
but i don't belive i'll start my project now cause there's no reason for two resource sites

great, guys i am not here to cause problems! i just wanted to help out. If you want to help out on my site let me know.

I think that i'll do swedish, some modding and most skins,
and i think i'll join your site the only thing i guess it needs is a more advanced layout but i think you should fix the file database thingie cause now i can't add files and so on

the download database isnt fully complete yet!, i had a few to many visits to the pub this weekend so it should be done by next weekend.

Well there's no reason not to built two resource sites...

Ok this is an old thread and the first posts i did on usebb.net but to tell yall there actually exist a usbb resource site at http://usebb.jiraiya.se (ok, i know it's a bad domain name if it gets popular i'll get a new one) where you can submit all kinds of files. So the resource project is not done but it has stared

Okay, slight update.

During the existance of the project there have been at least three resource websites planned by three or more different people. I hope if a resource website will be completed it will stay, because nobody will come to a UseBB resource website that disappears after a while.

ero-sennin you made the third resource site so I hope it will stay. Although at this moment I'm not really satisfied with the result. There's something wrong with the layout, especially on the forum. I suggest you take more time to complete it better. Also there is no possibility of uploading ACP modules. A lot of work needs to be done so I can't help you right now, but anybody else is free to help.

You're not pleased with the layout? I think it's an cool layout but can you say more what the problem is? And then ACP modules and so on can be snt it's just that the page isn't up and if someone send an ACP module it will of course be fixed

It looks more like default UseBB in a layout. It isn't centered currently too.

hmmm.. I'll do something about this next week currently im working real hard on a new version of my other website
