I am a phpBB-user for the moment.
Are there reasons why I should consider a switch from phpBB to UseBB?
Strong points of UseBB vs phpBB?
if so, are there convertng-tools so that I can keep my existing data?
thx!

UseBB focuses more on small to medium sized forums. It is especially useful for websites which need a simple forum with an easy to use layout, in opposition to phpBB where the default layout is quite overwhelming for many people. For some areas UseBB is simpler than phpBB, there are no user groups, no advanced forum permissions, etc... Although there are quite a few features and configuration possibilities that don't exist in phpBB. You have to try it out yourself.
UseBB also tends to be more securely coded than phpBB and works on PHP 5. Unfortunately there is no phpBB convertor at this moment. UseBB is also not yet completed, the ACP is currently under heavy development. _______________ |

There is an SMF convertor (if you wanna make it hard for yourself) you could first convert to smf and then from smf to useBB
... But i like useBB alot more than phpBB but as dietrich said this is just for mediumsized forums :\ |
