Update! Please see http://www.usebb.net/community/topic-824.html. Probably most of the following will not be completed in the 1.0 development time. Okay, there's a LOT of stuff still do do: - UseBB 0.7Of course, also see the 0.7 development thread. - Documentation Wiki A lot of content was lost when it was comprimised together with other wikis at SF.net. A whole bunch needs to be rewritten. Also, the API docs need to be updated and extended.- Official documentation Some general guides on how to use the forum. - API documentation ...using phpDocumentor. The necessary comments will follow soon.- Translation dowload systemIt was proposed later and I would make it, but I haven't had the time to do yet. If anyone volunteers... Currently, the SF.net tracker does fine I think. Or maybe this is an idea exclusively for a resource site? - Public weblog Already discussed in the team forum, the weblog at UseBB.net should be for team members to write about UseBB, its development, etc... - Dutch website part The Dutch part of the website is actually bothering me a little right now, only the content at the website is translated. A seperate website would be a good idea (seperate domain, run by other people). - Fix the Contribute page The content of this page is old and does not list contribution possibilities in convertors or ACP modules. - Core convertor systemSo convertors can be built upon one core system. - Probably some more stuff... If anyone volunteers to do some work, contact me! « Last edit by Dietrich on Wed Nov 09, 2005 11:10 pm. »

Instead of having this ugly SF trackers why shoulden't you have an exclusive resource site maybe like http://www.usebb.com/forums/

That's fine, but how long will such a site stay alive? At least two other people told me to make a site like that but they got nowhere. If a third-party website acts as the only place for translations etc, it will need to be very reliable. That's why I think there should still be a possibility to store them here.

i'm doing a new design to my design site and i will have UseBB stuff there mostly skins maybe i also could host language packs? I don't have a download system but people could send me via email just as they do at mercuryboard.com though i don't know how my site is really related to usebb.net but if you're interested i could give you a result maybe today or tomorrow.

just to update i've coded an easy php submit download and an usebb site. it's like 70% complete but im feeling satisfied with the result. I've ported a seperate skin for it but if it will be used as resource should it have the default skin? More updates tomorrow

You're free to mae it but people will still be able to submit the here too... Well sure you can use the default skin from UseBB but a new one would make it more original. Or just a slightly edited one, just the colours...

Ok now it's done i guess . Check out http://usebb.jiraiya.se/ and say what you think. I think it looks a bit too proffesional (web hosting companies etc.) but im still quite pleased with it. What do you guys think? I know it's a very rookie submit file system though i am an php rookie Just tell me what you think

Nice work but the forum itself is not completely centered.

Well as I said it's great but not a replacement for the current trackers which also hold mots etc. But I think you need to work it out a bit more and make sure it's working well (and secure!).

it's functional.. at lest as far as i've tried it out and about security i don't know.. It's based on the UseBB engine wich should be secure . What i need is skinners, modders and most important members so i could get the site running. Isn't it possible to have the site as a link in downloads under the category resources and maybe make an announcement. Remember i'm not doing this to be concurrent of your SF tracker but to have files in a more cleaner and easier way

Well this was discussed a lot in the past and it's not meant for 0.x/1.0.

PM system is not an important feature of a light forum.
And just to remind you Dietrich i add this again ;P Isn't it possible to have the resource site as a link in downloads under the category resources and maybe make an announcement. Remember i'm not doing this to be concurrent of your SF tracker but to have files in a more cleaner and easier way.

If you think the system is complete, bug free and secure enough... Well then. I will announce tomorrow.
