Has anyone successfully implemented Mod_Rewrite.dll for IIS?. I installed the DLL on IIS and used it on a test installation of UseBB 0.7beta1 and it converted the long URL's to Friendly (check box in config.php). Unfortunately I could not access the Forum and figured (in my semi technical way) that there was something lost in the 'translation'? Surely I am not the only one stupid enough to try and install this excellent Forum script on Micro$haft IIS Webserver? Help appreciated.

Isn't rewrite supposed to work with Apache only? _______________ Long Live Rock n' Roll!

If you go to the link I provided...you will see that the website is IISAnswers and the mod_rewrite I refer to is written especially to try and give IIS webserver the same functionality as Apache. Thanks for your interest......at least my setup will test UseBB 0.7 beta 1 in an enviroment that may help others. Check out our efforts so far: http://radiochickforum.nzcool.com 93 members and we haven't even run for 24 hours. So it will be a good test...

I think there would be no reason for me to use IIS unless I need to run ASP. _______________ Long Live Rock n' Roll!

You could always BUY Chillisoft ASP for Apache - shock horror.
But then, this is not a discussion about the relative merits of Linux/Apache Vs. Microsoft/IIS - it's a question about IIS and is directed towards anyone who is in the same position as me and is able to work with this problem to assist us all.
So, we now know that I am asking about a mod_rewrite.dll especially written for IIS and I wish to try and use the 'Friendly URL's' option on UseBB.
Are there any adventurous people out there who like a challenge and who are unfortunate enough not to be using Linux/Apache?
