I don't know if this fits in the 'lite board' concept, but I would welcome the feature that users have a login name (which they use for logging in, surprising), and a name that is displayed, thus easier to use fancy ASCII chars in that name without f*cking the DB up.

As far as i know there is? When you go to Your Panel -> Edit Profile the first two feilds are username and displayed name.
You can change the display name to your liking. I'm not sure if you can use ASCII characters though. _______________ |
