I know I cannot activate users by hand, only with PHPMyAdmin. Will this change in the near future?

I thought members activated themselves via e-mail?

But if something goes wrong, they cannot be activated by an admin so easily. _______________ Long Live Rock n' Roll! |

Hmm, is it hard to implement a 'resend e-mail' thing? (No, I don't say 'it shouldn't be hard'.)
Can you move this to feature thread so the forum remains tidy? ![]() _______________ Long Live Rock n' Roll! |

I've been thinking of this, I might put it in CVS soon.

The error was: I switched to PHP5 and forgot to edit the SMTP server's address in the config file (I am stupid enough to host my site on WAMP5/WinXP).

I would like to request two additions to the activation:
1. Provide the ability in the ACP to re-send the activation email to Unactivated users. 2. Provide the ability on the login/register page to allow a new member to resend an activatation email. With so many spam blockers all over the place it is possible that a new member may not recieve the activation email first time through. I'm currently having a problem with all verizon.net users not recieving my messages and having to send personally (webmaster) emails to confirm their address and then use the new Activation feature (thank you for that). Keep up the great work!! _______________ New England Corvette Forum http://www.newenglandcorvettecouncil.org/forum |
