Hi

While installing UseBB to web-server I receive this note:

UseBB General Error
An error was encoutered. We apologize for any inconvenience.

In file functions.php on line 506:

E_USER_NOTICE - The statistic variable "posts" does not exist!

Enable debug mode level 2 to see a backtrace.
This error should probably not have occured, so please report it to the webmaster. Thank you for your help.

If you are the webmaster of this board and you believe this is a bug, please send a bug report.

ps. I am webmaster, but not sysop. If the matter is how to configure .htaccess file or server, please let me know in detail, anyhow.

You didn't install UseBB properly. Please review all the steps in the INSTALL document or use the installer.

I did as you advised, how to register (my another post) . I went to registration form again, copied the url and replaced the mid-part of it, so that the url pointed at my installation.

The first registration succeeded! I checked the result at mysql-tables, and there it was, the first user as admin, and password encrypted etc...

But the problem remained. When entering my installation at www.palvelukaupunki.fi/usebb/, the same notice is all I can get.

I changed debug mode level to 2, and got some sensitive information for help. I send it to you as soon as I learn, how to do it safe.

ps. Where can I find the installer?

Why would you want to remove something from the URL? It should always point right.

And the installer is in install/. It is noted on top of the INSTALL document.

Now it works!

I had trouble with reading the instructions word by word. I had not executed install/usebb.sql.
