hey,

Figured i'd get started into figuring out the UseBB code base and decided to start with a Links Database, if anyone's interested in one.

Here's what I got done so far. Though it is not completely ( language/template wise) interegated into UseBB, i just started it today so still lots to do :p.

So, these are the features that I'm aiming towards.

-> Categories ( no sub cats though )
-> Permission Based ( Not sure how hard this will be to do, but i will try. So it's a maybe)

-> Links
->> Click Counter

-> Statisics
->> # of Links, # of cats
->> Top submitter
->> Top Link

-> AdminCP
->> Add/Edit Categories
->> Validate/Edit Links
->> Edit other minor settings

So, that's the final result that i'm aiming for right now. It might take me awhile to release, but I will keep you updated on any changes. i'm thinking the adminCP and interegating each setting will take me the longest to do.

If you have any suggestions feel free to throw them my way!

That's a great idea! How about having submitters also be able to add "site icon" ?

Hmm, if i did add that I would probably also make it turnable on and off as not everyone is going to want an image added. If i don't add it into the first release then i will probably add it in the second.

Ok, just an update.

Just have the AdminCP edits left and any other small fixes i come across.

Right now it's set up so that guests can't view, visit, or submit links. I will set up a demo board after I get the AdminCP almost done and permissions working, so that anyone can go test it out and pick out any bugs/problems.

So far it interegates with UseBB templates, language files, and can use friendly URL's if you have them enabled.

Well it's been awhile, but I finally got around to releasing a BETA.

Ok, here is the BETA files. Please note that the ACP is not quite finished and the whole settings section is not there. Also the permissions are set as guests cannot view/submit links but anyone above can.
