A long time ago i made a mod for PHPBB called Topic Extraction and with my new site i am gonig to use UseBB and port that mod for UseBB. Here is what it does (a brief explanation): This mod will enable you to grab posts from any forum and display them on your website. Useful for news, articles, shoutbox, latest topic links etc. No messing around with UseBB files either I have experience with forum maintanence, forum creation (i am the original creator of vubb although my coding has since improved ) So if you need any help i am now here. I hope to become a part of this nice community.

Welcome to the UseBB Community. That would be nice to have, I may or may not use it myself, but I am sure a lot will find it useful.

Have not had time to start it currently, will not take longer than a day to complete though, thinking about doing it on saturday. _______________ I would rather create something 100 people could not be without. Than to create something 1000 people would like.

Hi, something like this ? Take a look at the news at the bottom... There is also a simple 'upload'-feature (for registered users). here...My scripts are V0.7 & V0.8a, so it's not a good idea to make it public... I wait for V1.0. Bye, Ingo.

The post-grabbing feature would be very useful for me, if you ever publish it, expect me as a tester. _______________ Long Live Rock n' Roll!

The database won't change much for 1.0 to do with posts, i see no reason for me not to publish it before 1.0 Even if it does i don't mind updating, whole idea of mods. _______________ I would rather create something 100 people could not be without. Than to create something 1000 people would like.

Hi, just for a test. Here is my version of the 'news'-script: Download...Extract it into 'UseBB'-directory. in 'news.php': set forum-id and number of posts to display at the beginning of the file in './news/: edit page-header and page-footer styles.txt: add this styles to your site-stylesheet ./template/default/news_topiclist.tpl.php: the template... Maybe it's useful... Bye, Ingo

I have started it tonight, started porting over my phpbb version. Could possibly get it finished tonight. Will feature quite a few options to give you a few nice bits to deal with news, shoutbox, whatever you want it for _______________ I would rather create something 100 people could not be without. Than to create something 1000 people would like.

I have a script that allows you to grab newest topics from a special id and show it as news for UseBB .. maybe that's interesting for someone?
It also shows how many that has "commented" the topic.

I have that aswell. It's very easy to take from multiple forums with it as well as Dietrich said in a previous topic.
